Cheap and cheerful, this Swiss Made Leda watch has a manual wind movement and funky looks. New Old Stock
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
There is a lot of guesswork here. Very little information about the brand Leda is available, the movement is a 1 jewel pin pallet by Wotania (who also made the case) which is also a dead end research wise, save for they were based in Zurich. The movement is stamped 2125 , but again we can find no information on this. Purely on the styling we are guessing these were around circa 1971. If you can help then we would welcome any information.
CONDITION
Sometimes you buy a watch because it is superb engineering, and will last an lifetime. Other times you buy a watch because it looks fun. This Leda falls into the latter category. We can not tell you much more about the watches, but when we were offered 14 new old stock watches in two different colours (seven of red, seven of blue) we could not say no. Especially when the dials have such rich colours. All watches might have small marks from storage, but are unworn except for photography and even the straps are Swiss Made. They have been tested to check they keep reasonable time over a 24 hour period, and we combine shipping if you want a red and blue version.
We had to use a coloured background for the photos, as the all white watch on a white background didn’t work.
