This inexpensive Swiss men’s Belmore watch is in wonderful condition, and I doubt you will ever see another.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

Belmore were registered in Geneva, but we don’t have a date when.  Very little information has survived sadly, but the production date of the movement would give us an approximate date of production as circa 1970.

CONDITION

The watch is in great condition .  The chromed case has nice inturning lugs, similar to an Omega Speedmaster, and is larger than some from the period.  The case back is stainless steel, and screws down.  The case back is marked SUPERMASTER, a name we have never seen before.  The grey dial has horizontal lines across it, and applied hour markers – those of 6, 9 and 12 have extra bevels to make the light bounce off them in different directions.  The date can be quickset, and the day is in English only but can not be quickset.  The manual winding Ronda 1217 movement is working well.  The strap is a rubber rally style, similar to Tropic straps of the period and looks unworn.  It may be that the watch is unworn too, but we could not guarantee that.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
