With a striking blue striped dial, this manual wind Edox square watch looks to be value for money.  Model reference 32823-26.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

We can’t date this by serial numbers or engravings, so we have to use alternative methods that are not as accurate.  The movement used in this watch was first introduced in 1968, long after Edox were founded in 1884.  So the watch can not be older than 1968, but could be newer

CONDITION

Why is a Swiss vintage watch with a decent movement this cheap?  We will explain!  The dial is lovely, despite the scratch near the centre, and the contrast of the white hands against the blue is very legible.  However the chromed case has quite a bit of pitting and wear, and while it is not so noticeable on the wrist the photos here will show the watch in its worst light.  Inside is a good Peseux 7040 manual wind movement, stamped for Edox, with 17 jewels and capped jewels and also a semi quick set date at 6.  The soft rubber strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred.  The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement and crown.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon.  By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
