HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From using the production dates of this AS-1691 movement, combined with the styling, we date this to being made circa 1963.
CONDITION
This is a watch we have previously supplied and bought back from the collector, along with several other watches, as they swapped their collection around.
This watch is in very good condition all over. This includes the very clean movement, a 17 jewel manual wind with semi quickset date and sub seconds. The dial is the stand out feature, as many watches from this period will have belonged to smokers and have dials damaged by smoke. Not on this example though. The leather strap is of good quality and has plenty of life left in it. Precimax were making watches with this logo since 1946 in Neuchatel. This is a very inexpensive Swiss mechanical watch in this condition – some Precimax watches fetch thousands.
