This MuDu is in great condition and even has the original box.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We know that this company were formed in 1955, and they registered the trademark Doublematic in 1962. This, combined with a second opinion from a serious collector of MuDu watches (He has nearly 700!) and the production dates of the movement lead us to estimate this watch was made circa 1962.
CONDITION
The doublematic name comes from the fact that the Felsa 4004 movement winds the watch when rotated in either direction, so the watch should stay wound more often than some other watches. Ideal for desk based people who don’t move about much! The dial on this example is as close to perfect as you could hope for, with all the lume plots present and the hands in good order too. We have fitted a new crystal to really show off the dial. The case is ding free, with only the lightest of wear to the gold plate. The date changes at midnight perfectly. This is a very nice watch.
