A sweet ladies Oris manual winding watch, complete with unusual acrylic crystal and expanding bracelet.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the styling and the movement production dates we can date this watch to being made circa 1955.
CONDITION
The watch works well, and the overall appearance is good. The case, with 10 micron gold plating, is an interesting stepped design. what is very unusual is the acrylic crystal with is almost castellated with the ridges. The video may show these better. The dial has some patina, but not much for a watch of this age that was never designed to be dust or water proof. The stretch bracelet came complete with a St Christopher attached, and it seemed unlucky to remove this as it has looked after the watch so well. Please bear in mind that the photos are enlarged and show the watch at the worst.
This watch will be supplied with a presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
Please see the HD video for more detail. All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned. We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
