This circa 1955 Girard Perregaux is in the original box, and this company have been pioneers of watchmaking since 1791.

We can date this to circa 1955 from the styling and the earliest service mark (1959). For more about this fascinating brand please see their website.
CONDITION
Original but a little worn. The gold plated case does show signs of wear through the plate, which isn’t uncommon with watches of this period. The movement is in great condition, as you would expect from this company. The bracelet is probably a later replacement, but is well suited. The case design is similar to the classic 1945 designs, that GP have reissued for a modern audience.
