A nice Swiss Technos, with quality ETA movement.  An inexpensive addition to any collection, or a great starter vintage watch.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

The ETA 1100 movement was made between 1945 and 1962, but as this one doesn’t have shock protection we are leaning towards the start of the production run, so circa 1949 feels right.  That also fits with the logo design, which changed in the late 1950’s, and the case material was a common choice in the post war world.

CONDITION

The watch is working well and looks good on the wrist.  The case had marks, and the rear of the case has wear to the chrome, but this isn’t noticeable when wearing the watch.  The dial has marks around the centre, but the raised gold dots marking the minutes are a nice design detail.  Inside the case that ETA 1100 is beating nicely, setting and winding well via the worn but perfectly working crown.  Watchmakers will notice the chantons on the movement, which are normally only found on high end movements.  The acrylic crystal is new, as is the leather strap.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
