Christopher Ward only made 500 of these bronze C60 divers chronometer watches, each of those has a unique dial.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

We bought the watch in July 2021.  It is number 167 of 500 made.

CONDITION

We have owned this watch from new, and wanted to see what a year of patina does to a bronze case so made this video on the day we bought the watch.  The photos and videos taken now show how bronze changes over time.  It can be returned to the as new look (called raw) by being polished, but part of the appeal of bronze is the unique patina.  This limited editions retailed at £950, and each had a hand finished dial that is designed to look aged from new, matching the case character.

One year one and the case has dulled but not to as much as we might have expected.  The watch has been worn maybe once a month, and has zero damage.  The quick release rubber strap is very comfortable, and the watch has been a pleasure to wear.  And we have never been left with a green wrist either – the raised stainless steel caseback must have helped prevent that.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon.  By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
