HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the guarantee papers, which match the serial number on the case back, we can accurately date this watch to being sold in 2019.
CONDITION
The Galet is a current model range for Franck Muller, but this exact reference has been dropped in favour of more expensive models where the case, or the case and dial, are covered in diamonds. The bejeweled watches are in a different price league completely, for example £22,800 for the steel 3002 M QZ R D3 . The case shape is interesting, and feels like a smooth pebble – Galet is the French word for Pebble. The size is either going to suit a man who prefers a smaller watch or a lady who likes a bigger watch. The dial is always a highlight of Franck Muller watches, as they are superbly finished and this is no exception. The movement is a set and forget quartz, but even this is nicely finished (even though only your watchmaker will see it). The buckle is signed on the inside, and the leather strap is the original which has hardly has any wear at all. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.
