HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the supplied paperwork we can say with certainty that this watch was sold in July 1997. The serial number one the paperwork is slightly different to the serial number on the caseback – the last digit is an 8 instead of a 3 on the paperwork, but this is highly likely to be human error from Ernest Jones.
CONDITION
The Rado Diastar is one of the most distinctive watches on the market. No one makes a watch that looks like this, using these high tech materials that Rado have been pioneering from 1972 for the use o hard metals but this Integral model was first launched in 1986. The bracelet is virtually scratch proof, as the ceramic links are created under great pressure and high temperature. As such this bracelet look like new, and the sapphire crystal is also perfect. Inside the case you will find an ETA 6 jewel movement, to which we will fit a new battery before sending this watch out. The dial is perfect, and importantly the bracelet is long enough for most wrists. Rado watches like this were always on the small side, perfect for sliding under a cuff but equally popular as a unisex watch now. You can still get similar watches from Rado new, and the Ceramica range start at £1,970. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box (which is a little tatty), papers, our polishing cloth and our Certificate of Authenticity.
