A stainless steel men’s Zenith Espada, complete with boxes and papers stamped by Harrods. Model reference 19.0020.226
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the supplied paperwork we know that this watch was sold in November 1994.
CONDITION
The Zenith Espada range was designed to be the sportier part of the Les Classiques models of the mid nineties, and this model features on page 191 of Manfred Rossler’s excellent book on Zenith.
The 35mm stainless steel case was designed to be water resistant to 50m, and while that should not be trusted now it has helped keep the watch looking good. The white dial is particularly crisp and clean. The dial has gold tone hour markers and hands to match the small amount of gold plated highlights to the bezel. The glass is all good, and the crown is the original signed one. The leather strap is new and has been fitted with the original signed Zenith buckle, but this watch could also suit a brown leather strap easily. Powering the watch is a 7 jewel ETA 955.112 movement, used by many good brands but this one is branded Zenith 22.6 so we know it has never been replaced. We will fit a new battery before this watch is sent out so it is ready to wear.
This watch will be supplied with the original outer and inner presentation boxes, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
