HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Using the serial number on the case back and various different photographs of the watch Longines have confirmed that this watch was sold in 1991.
CONDITION
The Grande Classique models followed a very simple formula. Gold plated cases, white dials and two or three hands only. No chronographs or diving bezels, and not bulky cases. This watch only comes in at 5.5 mm thick, and with the light case it makes it a very comfortable watch to wear for long periods. The movement is Longines calibre 156 and is signed, and we will install a new battery before sending this out. The dial does have one or two small marks of dirt that we will try and clean out, and the case has a dink near two that we point out in the video. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
