This 1980 Seiko, model number 8223-5210, has a TV dial case and quartz movement with day and date functions.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in November 1980.
CONDITION
This is a fine example of this model. It has just been stripped and the bracelet and case cleaned in our ultrasonic bath, then a new glass fitted, and finally a new battery added. The case and bracelet are all stainless steel, and the bracelet doesn’t require any special tools to adjust for different wrist sizes – why did they stop doing this! The dial is mainly clean save for the odd spot of dust, and the quick set day and date works perfectly.
