The Type II was Seiko’s upper to mid range watch, sitting under the Grand and King Seiko ranges. Model reference 7123-7010 or QHP070
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in December 1978.
CONDITION
The textured dial is in superb condition. It is not as textured as the snowflake dial found on Grand Seiko models, but at ¥28,000 in 1978 the Type II was significantly cheaper than the ¥100,000 GS so you would expect compromises. The case and bracelet are all stainless steel, and in pretty good order. The glass is perfect. Both the day and date can be quickset via the crown, and the day wheel can show either English or Kanji. The hands are very good too. Overall this is a very presentable Type II that is working perfectly, and continues to be a credit to Seiko.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
