HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1977. That was the first year this model was launched, and it could also be purchased in solid gold for those with the deepest pockets.
CONDITION
Like most electronics, as the designs evolve the technology allows things to get smaller. In 1973 a Seiko VFA quartz watch was nearly 14mm thick, and just four years later this Omega is down to 7.omm thickness. This does make it very wearable in all circumstances. Inside the gold plated case you will find the Omega 1330 movement, and in house design with just hour and minute hands. You can set the hour hand independently to allow fast changes into different time zones, and to set the minutes you hold down the button in the crown. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The gold dial is clean and original, and the black stripe in the hands means the time is always legible. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement and buckle.
This watch will be supplied with our branded and reusable zipped travel case and cleaning cloth, and our Certificate of Authenticity.
