Reference 20-0220-416, this Zenith El Primero men’s chronograph watch was one of only 1,000 made for the US market.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the model number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1973. Find further info on these models here
The watch is in good condition and comes with two extras. One is a Zenith bracelet, well worn and in need of re plating. We have fitted the watch with a different gold plated mesh strap, but it would also suit a nice black or brown leather strap. The other nice extra is a receipt for the service from 2015 that totaled £210. The electroplated bezel is in very good order as the heavily enlarged photos show. The crown is signed with the Zenith logo, and unusually the first click of the crown allows you to set the time. The second click operates the quick set date. The legendary el Primero chronograph movement runs and resets as it should. Most of the US watches had 17 jewel movements, but this example has the full 31 jewels.
This watch will be supplied with the spare worn bracelet and service history (pictured), and our Certificate of Authenticity.
