This seventies Tissot PR516 has a great blue dial, with just a hint of red to lift it yet further.  Model reference 42630-4X

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being in 1973.

CONDITION

When a watch doesn’t have conventional lugs, it is important to check two things.  Is the bracelet original, and is it big enough?  Non original bracelets never look quite right, and finding links for any vintage bracelet is difficult.  Happily this watch has a long, original bracelet.  The manual wind Tissot calibre 2461 movement has an unusual system for quick setting the date, where you push the crown inwards.  This is working, and we show the function on the video.  That dial looks great, but there is  scratch near five we would like to point out.  The stainless steel case also has marks at 12 and 6 from where the bracelet has touched over the years, but otherwise is pretty straight and true.  The screw down case back has a fresh seal.  All is working well.

Did you know the PR in PR516 stands for Particularly Robust?
