This 1973 Seiko, model number 7006-7080 has a blue dial with stripe pattern and day and date feature.  It wears large for a vintage watch.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in December 1973.

CONDITION

The big stainless steel case has a few surface scratches, but no big dings.  The armoured crystal has no damage, but may be a later replacement as it has a gold ring – we haven’t seen this before, so we presume it is not original.  The way the dial is designed with a stripe catches the eye nicely, and shows nicely on the video.  The day wheel can not be quickset, but the date can be.  The bracelet is an STI replacement and has been matched to a Seiko clasp.  All have been though our ultrasonic bath to make them ready to wear.

Please see the HD video below for more detail.

SIZE

Approximately 40.5 mm wide including the recessed, unsigned crown, 10.9 mm thick.  Takes a 20 mm strap.  The bracelet will fit a maximum wrist size of approximately 190 mm.
