This men’s Seiko LM, or Lord Matic, is highly original and in fully working order. Model reference 5606-6000.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in May 1972.
CONDITION
The reason we were quick to point out that this LM is in fully working order is because not all are. On this 23 jewel automatic movement, if the date is quick set any time when the normal day/date change is working, say between 10pm and 2am, then the quick set change mechanism would break. This one has survived, and we show it working in the video and give you a tip on making sure it stays working. The C-shape case is unpolished, so shows light surface scratching, but it is not bad at all. The dial is clean, and the glass is good save for a small chip near the beveled edge near 6. The hands are straight, and easy to read thanks tot the black line painted on them to provide extra contrast. The rare Milanese bracelet is the original one with a sliding clasp marked for LM, although it does take some getting used to how to put it on. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement and clasp.
