This barrel cased, manual wind men’s Omega Geneve has the lovely calibre 601 copper coloured movement. Model reference 131.0042.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1970.
CONDITION
This men’s Omega Geneve is in pretty good condition. The 17 jewel, manually wound calibre 601 is a lovely movement to interact with, and would make us question why anyone would want an automatic. The 20 micron gold plating only shows minor wear on the high points, and in real life this is barely noticeable. The case shape also means this wears larger than the dimensions suggest. The gold dial is clean, and the crystal has the Omega symbol in the centre (albeit upside down!). The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown and crystal.
