This first generation Omega Dynamic has the specification most people want the most. Model reference 166.0079

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1970.

The generation 1 Dynamic was talked about as being the first ergonomically designed watch for the human wrist. They certainly are comfortable, and the space age design matched the era of the space race perfectly. There were no fewer than 24 different dial configurations, but the blue and silver bullseye is certainly one of the more popular designs. The case is made from one block of stainless steel, and the movement is accessed by removing the signed crystal with a special tool (widely available). The case has ‘radial adoucissage’ graining decoration, and while this graining is showing some scratches and marks it is better than the over polished cases we sometimes see (but do not buy). Inside the movement is the top of the range Omega calibre 752, a 24 jewel automatic with swan neck fine adjustment and quick set date which is all working perfectly. These earlier movements are generally preferred to the later 1000 series movements, and because the Dynamic case takes some experience to open not all sellers will tell you which movement is inside. The dial is good, original with just a few marks. The OEM leather strap is new, and fitted with the original signed buckle.
