Complete with the desirable and rare buckle, this ladies IWC is excellent value for money. Model reference R4108.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the inside and outside of the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1970.
CONDITION
The C shape case is perfect for 1970, and not too dissimilar from the men’s Yacht Club that was IWC’s biggest seller at the time. This shape of case gives a smooth finish but also exceptionally strong lugs, with a feeling it was built to last. Inside the stainless steel case, behind the screw down case back, you will find the IWC hand wound caliber 412 movement. This seventeen jewel movement is a pleasure to wind via the crown, which is signed with the fish symbol IWC use to show that this was considered water resistant when new – which is unusual for most ladies watches. The dial is clean, both in design and condition, and has no lume – the hands are painted black to provide good contrast against the silver dial. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred, but we have swapped on the 10mm IWC buckle that is a real rarity to find after 50+ years. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown and buckle.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
