A very early Omega f300 and in absolutely fantastic condition, complete with instruction book. Model reference CD 198.0001
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1969, which is before the official launch of the f300 watches in 1970. This does happen in order to have stock ready to sell from day one once the watch is launched.
CONDITION
This was the first design for any f300 model from Omega. It is also the best condition watch from the range we have ever seen, never mind had the opportunity to offer – seriously this could go straight on display at Omega’s Museum. The brushing on the case looks like the watch just left the factory. The case is gold capped, and that is where a thick layer of gold is laid over the steel case – you can see this from the back clearly. The 12 jewel calibre 1250 movement is all running well, including the quick set date. The leather strap is new, branded Omega, and is fitted with an Omega buckle too. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. If this is not the best one available in the world then we would be shocked.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
