This freshly serviced Mk 1 Omega Dynamic has the extremely rare stone grey dial and the manual wind movement. Model reference 135.0033
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1969.
CONDITION
Most Omega Dynamic models have the bullseye dial, but this was a rarer dial variation (there were 24 colour combinations!). The clues that is is original are that there is no paint on the sides of the applied hour markers, nor on the Omega logo. Most models didn’t even have the applied hour markers, which reduces the odds of a redial alone. The hands are correct, as are the lume pips (double at twelve). The script of Geneve Dynamic is also quite fine, whereas the redials are thicker. We have searched google images found a few similar watches, both with the same layout and as the automatic with date variant. Having never seen this dial in the flesh before we have also checked with a prominent vintage Omega watch dealer, who has seen this design before so we are happy that this dial is original. The trend setting case design contains a Calibre 601 movement, running nicely since the service. This is wound via a signed crown, and the crystal is also signed with the symbol Ω over the centre. The buckle is also the original, but the strap is a new OEM replacement. You can still see clearly the ‘radial adoucissage’ deep graining to the case bezel. The case does have a few light dints, clearly shown in the photographs. If you are considering buying this watch I would suggest you do, as finding another might take years with this colour combination.
