This 1965 Rotary has a 21 jewel hand wound movement, solid 9k gold case with screw in case back and has not been engraved.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

We can date this to 1965 from the hallmarks from the Birmingham assay office, showing the date letter for 1965.

CONDITION

Very good, with nice crisp edges indicating it has never had a case polish.  This is larger cased than the majority of gold watches from this period, making it more wearable today.  The crown is not gold and has lost its gold plating, but works perfectly.  There are a few historic tool marks on the back.  The hands are a little dirty, but the dial is very clean and doesn’t show any age spots.  Fitted with a new Condor black calf leather strap, but could look better on a brown alligator strap?  We can swap this if required.

SIZE

Approximately 35.7mm wide including the semi recessed crown, 9.0mm thick. Takes a 18mm strap.
