The De Ville was the dressier line, and the Seamaster was the water resistant models, so the Seamaster De Ville was the best of both worlds. Model reference 135.020.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1965.
CONDITION
The modern marketing department at Omega would never sanction a watch that used two of their sub brands on the same dial, but back in the sixties the Seamaster de Ville was there to tempt people who couldn’t decide which watch to buy. The case is gold capped, which is far thicker than gold plate, and is all in good order. The case design is a unibloc case, and the movement is accessed by removing the glass. This also has the advantage of making it harder for unqualified people to open the watch over the years. Inside you will find the hand winding Omega calibre 601, which is a pleasure to interactive with via the Omega signed crown. The dial and hands both have spotting that is visible up close, but not at normal watch reading distance. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
