The Visodate Seastar Seven is quite a lengthy model name from Tissot, but this was a high spec watch. Model reference 44524
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1964. This calibre 784 movement was in production between 1959 and 1965.
CONDITION
This Tissot Visodate has a unibloc case, meaning there is a one piece metal case and the movement is held in place with the armoured acrylic crystal, and a clip spring. This has two advantages – one was it made a waterproof case at the time, and the second is it takes some knowledge, skill and tools to open the case so you are reassured that keen amateurs haven’t been playing in the watch. The case is 20 micron gold plated, and it is holding up well. Even the case back, which is not normally a part you would gold plate, is looking good. There is wear on the lug tips and the very edge of the case, but it is very difficult to see in the flesh without magnification. The dial is all original and very good, but the hands do have some oxidisation. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
