HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We can date this from the 1964 Smiths Catalogue, as featured in Barrie Smith’s excellent book on Smiths watches.
CONDITION
The gilt case is all in good order, save for a few minor scratches that are inevitable. The dial is very clean indeed, and any marks on the photos are from the lightest of scratches on the plexiglass crystal leaving shadows. The watch will be fitted to a new leather strap before being sent out.
