This 1964 gold plated ladies Omega is an inexpensive way into buying a quality Swiss watch.  Model reference 511.016.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1964.

CONDITION

This watch has some good and bad points.  On the good side is the gold plated case is made by EPSA, who make excellent cases and are best known for their super compressor dive watches.  The Omega calibre 620 movement is working well too.  On the negative the most obvious is that the dial has marks on it that will not come off, but also the crown is a later replacement and is not signed.  We have shared one photograph of the dial without the bezel and glass (hands are at 7.45) so you can see what the dial looks like.  The crystal is new and so is the leather strap.  The case is 20 micron gold plated and 40 micron gold plated on the case back – cask backs are normally not plated as it is a high wear point, hence they doubled the thickness of the plating.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
