This full rotor automatic men’s Omega Seamaster is as desirable as it is understated.  Model reference 14746-1SC.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1959.

CONDITION

The earliest Omega Seamaster have what is known as a bumper automatic movement, but the reason no one makes bumper automatic movements anymore is that they are not as efficient as a full rotor.  The movement in this watch is Omega’s calibre 503, a 20 jewel powerhouse that can also be hand wound and features swan neck fine adjustment – now rarely seen on watches under £10,000.  The movement also has a calendar, with semi quick set.  The dial and hands are original but do have patina, as you might expect from most watches of this era.  The glass has a date magnifier on the underside of the plexi.  The all stainless steel case is in good condition and it wears well.  The off white leather strap is new and has been chosen to match the dial, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred.  The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement and crown.

This watch will be supplied with our branded and reusable zipped travel case and cleaning cloth, and our Certificate of Authenticity.
