This Citizen Deluxe is a larger than average dress watch from the late 1950’s, in a 36.5mm stainless steel case. Model reference 1501202.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1959.
CONDITION
This is a clean example of a popular watch. The golden hands and hour markers look smart, and the dial is pretty sharp too. The case has a few light marks from being worn, but not really damage to report. The manual wind movement is a Citizen 2B/9200, a movement in production from 1958 to 1963. This 19 jewel movement has the Parashock shock protection system fitted to three places rather than the standard shock protection applied just to the balance, and it is all working well. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred. The watch is signed on the dial, case and movement.
This watch will be supplied with our branded and reusable zipped travel case and cleaning cloth, and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
