A sweet and petite ladies Longines watch in a 14k white gold case, with manual wind movement.  Model reference 250-81.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1957.

CONDITION

Being 14k is usually a sure sign that this watch was originally intended for the American market, and that is confirmed by the inscription inside the caseback noting the Longines Wittnauer company of New York, who were the importers.  In the 1950’s Longines were probably at their best, and this would not have been a cheap watch.  The case is clean and only has light surface marks, but unfortunately the glass does have some scratches.  The price reflects this.  The manual winding, 17 jewel Longines movement is all working well, although the crown is a bit wonky that does look worse in the enlarged photos than it feels in real life.  The dial has a few marks but is original and not restored, which is how most people prefer their watches today.  The Speidel steel bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
