The Datometer version of the Mido Multifort sees to be the rarer version, and this example is in very nice condition.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

The original Multifort series ran from 1937 to 1954 (Mido have recently reintroduced the name, reflecting on former glories).  This particular watch has a nice inscription for Christmas day 1953, making it easy to date.

CONDITION

This watch is in lovely condition.  Yes, when you look very closely you can see the odd small mark on the dial, and the lug near seven has some scratches to the outside, but non of this matters when it is on the wrist.  Then you notice the very slight, but effective pattern on alternative dates.  You feel the bumper movement swinging, and appreciate the quality.  You also see past any imperfections and enjoy the watch.  The “rustless steel” case has been cleaned, and the leather strap replaced with a new one – the drilled lugs make this easy to do, and the watch is ready to enjoy.

This watch will be supplied with a presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
