This solid gold watch does not have a makers name, but has a guilloche pattern dial, Breguet style hands and a 15 jewel movement that is keeping good time.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the hallmark made by the Chester assay office on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1930.
CONDITION
The dial is clearly dirty and faded, but the as yet unidentified movement is running like a trouper – on the timegrapher the watch was +30s a day, with a 300+ amplitude. That’s good for a watch of this age. The Breguet style hands are nicely blued. The case size and strap lug width would suit either sex, as watches were not as big back in the 30’s. We have shown the watch on both male and female wrists to help judge the size. We have fitted a new strap and polished the acrylic crystal to remove light scratches, so it is ready to wear
This watch will be supplied with a presentation box and Certificate of Authenticity.
