HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The Quadrato range was launch in late 2009, and seems to have died out in 2012, so this watch has to have been made at some point between.
CONDITION
This is a large watch – square cased watches always wear larger than the dimension suggest as they take up more wrist space as this article explains. This example is on the more desirable bracelet, all made from stainless steel and with the signed butterfly clasp. The box is quite tatty, the cushion the watch sits on is a replacement and the paperwork is missing, but it still does have the Tissot paperback book with it. The dial on the watch is very good, with subdials for 1/10th seconds, constant seconds and 30 minute counters at 2, 6 and 10 respectively. All three chronograph hands are finished in orange, including the centre chronograph hand with the distinctive T on the tail of the hand. There are marks on the case, but nothing scary, and the sapphire crystal is perfect. All functions work as expected and a new battery will be fitted to the ETA movement prior to the watch being sent out.
