The Constellation is Omega’s flagship model, and this example has the original box and spare bracelet links. Model number 369.1069
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The serial number printed on the inside of the watch case is not legible, but this model was launched in 1987 according to Omega themselves. This matches what the original owner told us. Official Omega Website
CONDITION
The unpolished case is all in good shape, save for light scratches. The back is good, showing the observatory that features on the Constellation series. The correct 1446/012 bracelet is unpolished and has two spare links. The jet black dial is known as a reverse panda eye (white dial with black subdials would be a panda dial, as it looks like a giant pandas eyes.) The useful day and date features in these subdials are working as they should. The Omega 1444 six jeweled quartz movement is running perfectly.
The ‘shoulders’ on this style of Constellation at 3 and 9 are designed to hold the bezel on, and was inspired by the watch designers bathroom mirror! On later models they are purely cosmetic.
SIZE
Approximately 35.4mm wide including the signed crown, 7.4mm thick. The bracelet will fit a maximum wrist size of approximately 200mm including the spare links.
