This New Old Stock (NOS) Bulova watch is absolutely of its time, and a rare survivor. Model reference 561101.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Normally Bulova watches have a date code on the case back or movement (or both), but this is not on this watch. We have seen several watches from the 1980’s that lack this code, and checking the styling against catalogues then this watch was likely to have been made around 1983.
CONDITION
This is undoubtedly the finest example of this watch you will find. The integrated mesh bracelet is without kinks or wear, as the watch has not been worn. The movement is an ETA 561.001, which was also used in Gucci and Technos watches, and is working perfectly. a new battery will be fitted before it is sent out. We have the box and the outer cardboard sleeve, as well as the uncompleted warranty booklet and the instruction leaflet – a true NOS watch will not have been sold retail, so the warranty card will be blank. The black dial has two small clear stones at twelve, which could be diamonds. Both glass and dial are in excellent condition. This watch is unrepeatable.
