This Yema watch provides a lot of the W10 military watch experience for a tenth of the price.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

Using the movement production date as a guide we think this was made circa 1975.

CONDITION

The Dirty Dozen watches made by twelve companies in 1944 for the British Army set the guidelines down for military watches to come, and then the 1953 Omega Broad Arrow or the late 60’s Smiths W10 used that formula very successfully.  All those watches were issued to the British military, and this Yema was not issued at all.  It does not hack, it does not have fixed bars and it has a date complication, but most of those features actually make this easier to live with than the military versions.  The FHF 17 jewel hand winding movement has a semi quickset date, and is running nicely.  The dial is good, and the hands have been relumed with white supaluminova.  The crown has also been replaced with a new item as the last was heavily brassed.  The case is a fully stainless steel design with screw down case back, in the same matte finish as the military watches.  The NATO style strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
