The grey dial on this Jaeger-LeCoultre men’s vintage watch really caught our eye. Very distinctive, and with a calendar function. Model reference 21008.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can date this watch to being made in circa 1967.
Jaeger-LeCoultre are known for their quality, but arguably their best known watch is the Reverso. This watch does not flip like a Reverso, but the case is larger than most of the Reverso models and that is welcomed by most wearers today. This watch has a stainless steel case which is unpolished, and does show a few marks. The grey dial is lovely, and having the date window at 6 gives the dial a great balance. The acrylic glass does have some marks, most noticeable is a small crack at the bottom right corner. This is a shame, but doesn’t detract too much from the rest of the watch. This watch has the Jaeger-LeCoultre K886 manual wind movement inside with semi quick set date, and this is working well. The leather strap is new. This appears to be quite a scarce reference from Jaeger-LeCoultre, and is far cheaper than the Reverso too.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
