An interesting Titus (Titus and Solvil) men’s watch, with a quality ETA automatic movement and the original sticker on the case back.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the production dates of the ETA 2472 automatic movement we can say this watch was made circa 1965.

CONDITION

This watch has a story behind it.  With the original case back sticker still in place we can say that the watch has not been worn (sweat would destroy the paper sticker very quickly.)  But the 20 micron gold plated case does have some marks, more noticeably on the non crown side which does have a scratch.  The quality strap is also a replacement by Roger Dubois – a company that is only 20 years old, so there is no way this could be original.  The watch is working nicely, and the date has the semi quick set feature.  The dial is clean but does have a slight bend near six.  The watch is overall very nice, so maybe we are being harsh.  The original crown is signed with the Titus laurel wreath logo.

This watch will be supplied with a presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
