This Princeton Swiss men’s vintage watch proves that there are still bargains to be had out there if you look beyond the usual suspects.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the production dates of the movement we can estimate this watch was made circa 1965.
CONDITION
This watch has nothing to do with Princeton University that we know about, but there is very little evidence of Princeton watches either. That doesn’t matter so much at this price level, where condition and style are more important that brand, and this is where this watch shines. The components are all quality items – you have a stainless steel case with screw down case back, housing an AS1950 17 jewel movement with incabloc shock protection. The case has a few light scratches on the bezel, but the original graining is still clear so this hasn’t had a hard life. The blue dial is nice, with clean polished hands. The leather strap is new.
