Another watch in wonderful condition. The Oris has just the lightest marks.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the production dates of the manual winding 671 movement, we can date this watch to being made circa 1965.
CONDITION
Black dialled vintage watches in good condition should set off alarm bells. Black dials tend to fade, a process sometimes called ‘tropical’ on high ends brands. And black paint is a restorers friend, with many damaged dials being repainted black to hide whatever damage was on there. But this Oris looks to have lead an easy life, the dial is dark and also features the military 24 hour numerals. The small lume pips, with a few missing, have faded in a process that can only happen with age. The gold plated case good, but the top left lug is a little marked in the outside bottom edge, as pointed out in the video. This watch will come with a period vintage Oris case that we have paired up with this watch.
This watch will be supplied with a Oris box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
