This men’s Poljot De Luxe features a very thin, high quality and low volume 2415 Orbita automatic movement.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the production dates of this rare movement we can date this watch to being made circa 1963. We also have a later version in stock from circa 1965.
CONDITION
The movement is the star of the show, and if you are interested in what is inside the watch as much as the outer cosmetic appearance then this one is for you. The calibre 2415 Orbita movement was designed in house in 1962 and only used the highest quality watches, as it was expensive to produce. You can read more about this movement here.
The gold plated case is in good order save for a loss of plating on the lug near seven. The brushed silver dial quite clean and featuring cool very art deco styled numbers, and we have fitted a new old stock black leather strap with gold tone buckle to finish the watch off. We have also replaced the acrylic crystal to show off that clean dial as much as possible. These high end Russian watches are remarkable value in the sometimes silly prices that vintage watches fetch.
