We have another Le Cheminant Invincible here.  This one is from circa 1955 and has a 25 jewel ETA sourced automatic movement.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

Le Cheminant watches have been around since 1822, but there is precious little information about them available, probably because of the low numbers made.  However based on the styling and production dates of the ETA 2541 movement we think this watch was made circa 1955.

CONDITION

The reason we always try and have Le Cheminant watches is that the company used to do things right.  One of the best movements ETA offered is housed in a gold plated case with stainless steel screw down caseback.  The dial is almost perfect, and difficult to fault.  The movement is keeping time to within a few seconds a day, and we have fitted a new leather strap.  There is some plate wear to the edges, but please remember the photos are highly enlarged and in the flesh it is hardly noticeable.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
