During the late thirties and early forties, GSTP or General Service Time Piece watches were military issued and this Cyma GSTP is a good example.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Unlike later military issued watches, which have a year of issue engraved on the case back, this Cyma GSTP watch was more general and fits the criteria for the early part of WW2.
CONDITION
This is quite unusual in having a gold plated bezel – it actually looks like brass but it is white metal underneath. The dial is good other than some cracks between 9 and 10. The acrylic crystal has yellowed with age – these can be swapped for new ones, but the yellowed glass helps the watch feel from the period. The dial and hands have radium infill, so have not been replaced in the past 80 years and are likely original. Naturally this Cyma GSTP has a Cyma movement fitted, which is clean and working well.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
