Incredible value for money, this Pierre Paulin watch is a proper mechanical jump hour watch and like new. 36mm, Salmon dial version.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
This watch was bought new by ourselves in March 2024, primarily to see if the hype was correct.
CONDITION
These are £90-105 on various different sites new, so while this one is not a massive saving it does save a bit (and potential import duty too if you are in the UK). But look what you get – a hand winding Seagull ST17 movement with sub seconds and a proper jump hour movement – the time always sits in the centre of the aperture and doesn’t drag round like some jump hours. The case is all steel, with a screw down case back – we haven’t photographed the movement to keep any warranty in tact. It really is amazing how they do it for so little, and then make it look so good too – those Breguet numerals and hour hand are a good touch. The watch has only been worn a few times and is like new. Merkur, who make Pierre Paulin watches, should be scaring a number of microbrands who would charge three or four times this price.
