HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being issued in 2001.
CONDITION
The G10 formula has been developed over 70 years to provide a robust and accurate watch to all British forces. Features such as fixed bars, waterproof stainless steel cases, black dial, hacking and minute track have been there since the start, and advances in technology have allowed the watches to get things like quartz movements with calendars and end of life indicators (EOL) to show when the battery needs changing. We did a video with this actual watch showing the EOL function which you can see here, when the watch was on a worn NATO strap. We have since cleaned the case, replaced the battery and added a good leather NATO strap to replace the nylon one. The case does have a dent on the non crown side that you can see if you look carefully, but being a watch that may have been involved in combat you should expect some wear and tear. The Seiko movement is working perfectly, and this watch is ready to return to action.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
