HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in September 1985. There is a chance that it may have been made in 1995, but we believe it to be earlier.
CONDITION
This 7009-8028 watch gives a lot for not a lot of money. You get a solid stainless steel case, with screw down case back, which looks good now and will continue to do so. You get a day and date calendar function, each with quick set ability – to change the day you push the crown into the case, and unusually this watch only has English days. The automatic movement has 17 jewels and Seikos bi directional winding system to keep things powered up – this is important as you can not hand wind this watch. The silver dial is clean, the acrylic crystal has been polished to remove almost all marks, and the hands retain their lume. The oyster style bracelet is a Condor item, not made by Seiko, and we have cleaned this in our ultrasonic bath so this is ready to wear.
