HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in May 1981.

CONDITION

This is only the second example of a Pulsar or Seiko Sample watch we have seen.  It may not make it incredibly valuable, but it is interesting!  It has also helped keep the watch in very good condition.  This example is not perfect though – the hour hand has at some point dragged on the dial and left a light mark.  The dial is also signed at the bottom ‘ A 9R MOV’T AND DIAL’, something we have not seen before.  The case has a porthole design, but unlike the Royal Oak it is no doubt inspired by the screws in the bezel are not actually screws on the Pulsar.  The bracelet is full length, having never been sized for anyone before, and the box is in good shape too.  We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
